No Survivor Found in Ondo Military Aircraft Crash, Says Aiyedatiwa

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has disclosed that no survivor has been found in the aftermath of the Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash that occurred in Igbokoda, headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area of the state.

The governor made the disclosure while providing an update on ongoing rescue and recovery efforts at the crash site, describing the incident as a tragic loss to the nation and the Armed Forces.According to him, emergency responders, security personnel and other relevant agencies have continued search and recovery operations since the aircraft went down, but no survivor had been located as of the time of his briefing.Aiyedatiwa expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and extended condolences to the families of those on board the aircraft, as well as to the leadership and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force.

He said the state government was working closely with military authorities and emergency management agencies to ensure a coordinated response to the disaster and provide the necessary support for recovery operations.

The governor commended first responders for their swift deployment to the scene and urged residents of the area to cooperate with security agencies by providing any useful information that could assist ongoing efforts.He assured that the state government would continue to monitor developments and offer all necessary assistance to the affected families and relevant authorities.

The aircraft reportedly crashed in the Igbokoda area of Ilaje Local Government Area during a military operation, triggering an immediate emergency response from security and rescue agencies.Military authorities are expected to conduct a comprehensive investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash, while recovery operations continue at the site.The incident has generated widespread concern across the country, with government officials, security agencies and members of the public mourning the loss and awaiting the outcome of investigations into the tragedy.
