The Vigilante Group of Nigeria on Saturday decorated and swore in a number of senior officers at its National Headquarters in Abuja, with the organisation’s National Chairman and Commander General, Otunba James Udoma, charging the newly elevated personnel to uphold discipline, integrity and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.The ceremony, attended by senior commanders, officers and members of the organisation from across the country, marked the formal elevation of the officers to their new ranks and appointments.Speaking during the event, Otunba Udoma congratulated the officers on their promotion and reminded them that leadership comes with greater responsibility, accountability and commitment to service.He said the new appointments should be viewed not merely as recognition of past contributions but as a call to higher standards of conduct, dedication and sacrifice in advancing the objectives of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria.The Commander General urged the officers to remain loyal to the organisation’s ideals and to conduct themselves in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, stressing the need for discipline, respect for constituted authority and adherence to established operational procedures.According to him, public confidence in the organisation depends largely on the conduct and professionalism of its personnel, adding that officers must lead by example and demonstrate honesty, commitment and responsibility in their various assignments.He further called on the newly decorated officers to strengthen community engagement, support lawful security initiatives and contribute meaningfully to the protection of lives and property within their areas of operation.The officers subsequently took the Oath of Office, formally pledging allegiance to the organisation and committing themselves to the responsibilities attached to their new positions.
