FORMER CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF LIEUTENANT GENERAL AB DAMBAZAU, DELIVERS INSIGHTFUL LECTURE ON PUBLIC OFFICE, LEADERSHIP AT NARC 

 

On Wednesday 21st August 2024, the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) Abuja hosted the Second Edition of its Leadership Lecture Series in which Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, former Chief of Army Staff, former Minister of Interior, Baraden Kano, and a member of the NARC Board of Trustees, delivered lecture, titled “Public Office and Leadership: My Experience.” In it, Lt Gen Dambazau drew from his extensive experience in public service, providing invaluable insights into the complexities of leadership in various high-profile roles. His reflections on managing public office underscored the importance of integrity, strategic thinking, and the ability to adapt to changing environments.

The lecture was held at Hall F, ML Agwai Block, NARC, and was a significant opportunity for participants to engage with one of Nigeria’s elder statesmen and most experienced military leaders, thus enhancing their understanding of leadership in both military and civilian contexts.

The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests including the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen TA Lagbaja NAM who was represented by Major General OS Abai, the Director General of NARC, Major General GA Wahab (rtd) PhD, who was represented by the Executive Director Consult, Major General AS Ndalolo. 

Also in attendance were Directors of the centre, other management staff of the Centre, Senior Research Fellows, Subject Experts and Directing Staff and the participants of the Leadership and Strategic Studies Course 2/2023, among others.
