Operatives of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) in Taraba State have rescued a woman and her infant from a suspected suicide attempt along Palace Way near the Lau Line Motor Park in Jalingo, the state capital.
According to eyewitness accounts, the woman was found sitting in the middle of the busy roadway with her baby, creating fears that she intended to expose herself and the child to danger from oncoming vehicles.
VGN operatives on patrol reportedly noticed the situation and swiftly intervened, removing the woman and her infant from the road before any harm could occur. Their prompt response prevented what could have resulted in a tragic loss of life.
