The Commandant General and National Chairman of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Otunba James Udoma, on Saturday received members of the Taraba State Executive Council and other key officials of the organisation during a courtesy visit to the VGN National Headquarters in Abuja.
The delegation, comprising senior state executive officers and prominent members of the Taraba State Command, was welcomed by the National Chairman, who commended their dedication to the ideals and objectives of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria.
During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening the operational effectiveness of the organisation, enhancing collaboration among state commands, and promoting community-based security initiatives across the country. The engagement also provided an opportunity for the Taraba delegation to brief the national leadership on activities, achievements, and challenges within the state command.
Otunba Udoma reiterated the commitment of the national leadership to the welfare, capacity development, and professional growth of VGN personnel nationwide. He emphasized the importance of discipline, unity, and adherence to the organisation’s core values in the discharge of their responsibilities.
The National Chairman further urged members to remain law-abiding and continue supporting government efforts to safeguard lives and property at the grassroots level. He noted that the VGN remains a critical partner in community policing and national security.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Taraba State executives expressed appreciation for the audience granted them by the national leadership and pledged their continued loyalty and support to the vision of the organisation.
The visit concluded with a renewed commitment by both the national and state leadership to work together in advancing the mandate of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria and strengthening security across communities in Taraba State and beyond.
