The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Delta State Command, Commandant Chinedu F. Igbo, on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, received the newly posted Delta State Comptroller of Immigration, CIS CO Solo-Akora, psc, and her management team during a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters.
The visit, which commenced at approximately 12:26 p.m., provided an opportunity for formal introductions and familiarisation between the leadership of both agencies. Speaking during the meeting, Comptroller Solo-Akora expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded her by the State Commandant and members of the Corps.
She noted that the visit was aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the NSCDC, while also fostering greater cooperation in addressing security challenges across the state.
The Comptroller emphasized the importance of sustained inter-agency collaboration in combating insecurity and pledged to build upon the cordial working relationship already existing between both organisations.
In his remarks, Commandant Chinedu F. Igbo formally welcomed the Comptroller to Delta State and commended the Nigeria Immigration Service for its critical role in national security. He encouraged officers and personnel of both agencies to continue working closely, particularly in the area of intelligence sharing, to enhance the safety and security of residents of the state.
The Commandant further assured the Comptroller of the NSCDC’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Immigration Service, especially in tackling human trafficking, irregular migration, and other related offences.
He reaffirmed his unwavering support and cooperation, assuring CIS Solo-Akora that the Delta State Command of the NSCDC would continue to work hand in hand with the Nigeria Immigration Service in promoting peace, security, and public safety throughout the state.
