Police Arrest 64, Recover 693 Bags Of Fertilizers From Protesters In Katsina

Katsina State Police Command said its personnel arrested 64 persons and recovered 693 bags of fertilizer following a violent protest that erupted in the state.

The Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Sadiq Aliyu, made this known to LEADERSHIP in a message, saying no life was lost during the protest but a government fertilizer warehouse was vandalised.

Aliyu added that the Command recovered bags of fertilizer and arrested the 64 suspects for vandalism.

The Katsina police spokesman added that investigations were still ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Calm and normalcy have since returned to the state since the acting governor, Faruq Lawal declared a curfew and banned protests across the state.
