The Management and Editorial Board of the People’s Security Monitor wishes to extend its profound and heartfelt appreciation to all distinguished guests, stakeholders, security leaders, partners, and participants who honoured the invitation and contributed to the success of the 2026 People’s Security Monitor Annual Security Summit and the Public Presentation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s book titled “The Defender of the Nation”, which was graciously presented to the public by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, CON.
The People’s Security Monitor also expresses its sincere gratitude to all who, in one capacity or another, contributed to the success of this epoch-making event. This includes those who attended physically, provided institutional backing, delivered goodwill messages, and supported through logistics, partnership, coordination, and technical assistance.
We express our appreciation to the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd) OFR, whose distinguished presence and insightful contributions significantly enriched the national discourse on defence policy and security strategy.
We also acknowledge with deep respect the support of the Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, CGF Samuel Adeyemi Olumode, and the Director General of the National Orientation Agency, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, whose contributions were instrumental to the success and overall coordination of the event.
We are most grateful to our indefatigable Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR for his staunch belief in our mission.
Further appreciation is conveyed to the immediate past Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, DCG Hillary Kelechi; the respected retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Wilson Inalegwu; the Director General of the Department of State Service (DSS); and the Inspector General of Police, IGP Tunji Disu, for their patriotic commitment and contributions to the success of the event.
We also recognise the invaluable participation of the Commandant of the NSCDC Delta State Command, Commandant Chinedu Igbo, and the Commandant of the NSCDC Ondo State Command, Commandant Oluyemi Ibiloye, whose presence demonstrated strong institutional dedication to strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture and inter-agency collaboration.
The People’s Security Monitor wishes to reaffirm its unwavering belief in Nigeria and its security architecture. Nigeria remains a shared inheritance of all citizens, and it must be collectively protected, preserved, and defended against all forms of insecurity and threats to national stability.
Accordingly, we wish to emphasise the need for sustained partnership, unity of purpose, and renewed collaboration among government institutions, security agencies, the media, and citizens in the collective effort to confront insecurity, defeat its perpetrators, and safeguard the nation’s future.
