The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) has directed troops to intensify offensive operations against bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal elements terrorising communities across the North Central region of the country, reaffirming the Nigerian Armyโs commitment to protecting lives and property.
The Army Chief stated that the renewed offensive is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks, restore peace to affected communities, and strengthen security across the region. He charged commanders and troops to remain resolute, professional, and proactive in the discharge of their duties.
According to the COAS, the Nigerian Army will continue to collaborate with other security agencies and local stakeholders to ensure that criminal elements are denied freedom of operation. He further assured residents that the military remains determined to sustain pressure on bandits and kidnappers until lasting peace and stability are achieved.
The COAS also urged members of the public to continue supporting security agencies with credible and timely information capable of aiding ongoing operations, stressing that collective efforts remain vital in the fight against insecurity.
