NSCDC Deploys 945 Personnel to Secure Critical National Assets During Eid-el-Kabir in Delta

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Delta State Command, under the leadership of Commandant Chinedu, has deployed 945 personnel across the state to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The deployment, according to the Commandant, became necessary due to the large concentration of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure belonging to the Federal, State and Local Governments, as well as privately owned facilities of significant economic importance located within Delta State.
He noted that the protection of lives and property before, during and after the Sallah celebrations remains a top priority for the Command. The personnel have therefore been directed to work closely with other security agencies in the state to ensure effective security operations and maintain public safety throughout the festive period.
The deployed officers were drawn from various specialised and tactical units of the Corps, including the Counter Terrorism Unit, Rapid Response Squad, Female Squad and other operational teams.
Commandant Chinedu further disclosed that surveillance and patrol operations along the 2nd Niger Bridge would be conducted on a 24-hour basis, while other identified flashpoints and black spots across the state would also receive adequate security coverage.
He assured Muslim faithful and residents of Delta State of the safety of all Eid prayer grounds and other public locations during the celebrations.
The Commandant also extended warm Eid-el-Kabir greetings to all Muslim faithful and wished all residents of the state a peaceful and memorable celebration.
