Southern Women of Valor Back Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election, Endorse Uzodimma for Imo West Amid Security Gains

By Usman Ahmed

The Southern Women of Valor has declared its support for the re-election bid of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, citing the administration’s economic reforms, renewed security efforts and commitment to national development under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The group also endorsed Hope Uzodimma for the Imo West Senatorial seat, describing him as a leader with a proven record of infrastructural transformation and effective security management in Imo State.

In a statement signed by the National Coordinator of the organisation, Mrs. Caroline Chinyere Egeke, the group said its endorsement was based on what it described as the “bold commitment” of the Tinubu administration to economic reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth and national stability.

According to the statement, President Tinubu has demonstrated courage and leadership through decisive economic policies designed to stabilise the nation’s economy, strengthen investor confidence and improve governance across critical sectors. The group noted that despite prevailing economic challenges, the administration has continued to pursue reforms capable of laying a solid foundation for long-term prosperity and security.

The women’s group further praised Governor Uzodimma for his achievements in infrastructure development and the restoration of peace in Imo State, stressing that his administration has shown visible capacity in governance and security coordination. It stated that the governor’s performance and experience make him a strong candidate for the Imo West Senatorial District.

“President Tinubu has taken decisive steps to stabilise the economy and reposition Nigeria for stable growth, while Governor Uzodimma has shown capacity, experience and results that speak for themselves,” the statement added.

The Southern Women of Valor therefore called on Nigerians, particularly women and youths across the southern region, to support the continued leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Uzodimma, expressing confidence that their leadership would further enhance national development, economic progress and security across the country.
