FIRST LADY COMMISSIONS INFRASTRUCTURAL PROJECTS IN MAIDUGURI

The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Remi Tinubu, paid an official visit to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, on the 27/04/2026, to commission several infrastructural projects initiated by the Governor of Borno State, His Excellency, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, fnse, mni.

Upon her arrival at the NAF Wing Air Component 105, OPHK Maiduguri, the First Lady was warmly received by Governor Zulum, accompanied by dignitaries, including the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Comdt. Ahmed Bello Gaya, finsis, other service commanders, top politicians, and well-wishers.

The occasion was marked with a rousing welcome, as the space was filled with beautiful music and performances by troops from the Ministry of Art and Culture. The atmosphere was electric, reflecting the warmth and hospitality of the people of Borno State.

During her visit, the First Lady also commissioned several infrastructural projects, showcasing the government’s commitment to improving the lives of the people of Borno State.
