NSCDC Lagos Command Recognises Officer for Outstanding Operational Performance

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command has presented a letter of commendation to the Divisional Officer of Badagry, Chief Superintendent of Corps Gbenga Ekunola, in recognition of his exceptional operational performance and effective intelligence driven crime prevention activities.

The presentation was made by the Lagos State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro, during a strategic engagement organised on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, aimed at strengthening the capacity of Area Commanders and Divisional Officers on the Corps’ operational mandates.

The Commandant noted that the recognition aligns with the established tradition of the Corps under the leadership of the Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to reward personnel who demonstrate professionalism, discipline, courage, dedication, and commitment in the discharge of their duties.

He commended the operational successes recorded under CSC Gbenga Ekunola’s leadership in Badagry, particularly the recent dismantling of a suspected baby factory, which was achieved through credible intelligence gathering, community collaboration, and coordinated operational response.

According to the Commandant, the breakthrough reflected the effectiveness of intelligence led policing and the importance of synergy between officers and local communities in combating crime.

He also used the occasion to acknowledge the performance of several Area Commands, including Ojo, Ojokoro, Amuwo, Olorunda, Ikosi Ejirin, and Ijegun, for their contributions in prosecution efforts, infrastructure development, and operational improvements such as securing new office buildings and vehicles for enhanced service delivery.

Keshinro urged all formations within the state to remain committed, focused, and resilient in the execution of their mandates, stressing that diligence and professionalism would continue to attract recognition and advancement within the Corps.
