Kwara Governor Receives New NSCDC Commandant, Pledges Sustained Support for Security


The Executive Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, received the newly deployed State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kwara State Command, CC Abbas Nda Mohammed, at the Government House in Ilorin.
During the meeting, the Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to continued collaboration with security agencies, assuring the Corps of sustained support in maintaining peace and security across the state. He commended the vital role of the NSCDC in protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, as well as its contributions to public safety and community security.
In his remarks, Commandant Abbas Nda Mohammed expressed appreciation for the warm reception and pledged the Corps’ unwavering commitment to strengthening security operations in the state. He assured that the Command would intensify intelligence driven strategies, enhance operational readiness, and work in synergy with other security agencies to sustain the prevailing peace in Kwara State.
