The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Gombe State Command, has conducted a comprehensive fire safety training for 100 personnel of the Private Guards Company (PGC) under the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command.
The training was facilitated by DSF Edogbanya Mathew Akoji, Head of Inspectorate, Investigation and Enforcement (IIE), alongside ASF Bashir M. Muazu, the Command’s Public Relations Officer.
Participants were equipped with essential knowledge and practical skills, including basic firefighting techniques, proper handling and use of fire extinguishers, and effective emergency evacuation procedures. The exercise was aimed at strengthening the capacity of security personnel to respond promptly and efficiently to fire incidents within their areas of responsibility.
The Federal Fire Service, Gombe State Command, reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its longstanding and cordial working relationship with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), particularly in areas of safety, emergency response, and the protection of lives and property.
The Command also emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration and continuous capacity building among security agencies to ensure a safer environment for all.
