VGN Strengthens Security Operations in Jos North, Plateau State


The Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) in Jos North, Plateau State, has continued to demonstrate strong commitment in tackling ongoing security challenges in the area. Through coordinated patrols, effective intelligence gathering, and active community engagement, VGN operatives have played a significant role in sustaining relative peace and preventing the escalation of conflict.
Their proactive approach, combined with close collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies, has enhanced public confidence and improved responses to emerging threats. The dedication and professionalism of personnel on the ground remain critical to the success of these efforts.
Special recognition is extended to the ACG North Central, the Deputy Commander General (Administration), Alhaji M. Azare, and the Commander General, Navy Captain Umar AB Bakori (Rtd), whose consistent support, strategic direction, and leadership have greatly strengthened operational effectiveness.
The VGN Jos North Command remains steadfast in its mandate to protect lives and property and will continue to build on its current achievements to ensure sustainable peace in the region.
