The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command, has deployed 700 officers and men across the state to provide comprehensive security coverage for the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr Salah celebrations, scheduled from March 19th to 21st.
The deployed personnel will collaborate with other sister security agencies to ensure a smooth and incident-free Sallah celebration throughout the state. Security coverage includes Eid prayer grounds, Hawan Durbar events, recreational centres, markets, motor parks, and other public spaces, as well as critical national assets, both public and private.
The State Commandant, CC Jibrin Idris, charged officers and men to maintain vigilance, discipline, and professionalism while carrying out their duties. He emphasized the need to ensure law and order throughout the festive period and extended warm Sallah greetings to all Muslims in Gombe State and across Nigeria.
Commandant Idris further urged residents and visitors to go about their activities peacefully and to report any suspicious or unusual behaviour to the appropriate authorities. He reassured the public that the NSCDC, in partnership with other security agencies, remains fully committed to protecting lives, property, and ensuring a safe and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration for everyone.
