The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kwara State Command, Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, on Wednesday convened a strategic meeting with senior management officers at the State Headquarters in Ilorin.
The high level session was aimed at reviewing the Command’s operational performance and strengthening internal structures to improve service delivery across the state. Discussions centered on practical measures to enhance field operations, intelligence gathering, and rapid response mechanisms.
Commandant Bodinga emphasized the importance of unity of purpose among departmental heads, noting that effective security administration depends on strong coordination and clear communication channels. He urged officers to remain proactive and committed to the Corps’ mandate of safeguarding lives, property, and critical national assets.
The meeting also examined strategies for reinforcing the protection of critical national infrastructure, including public utilities and government facilities, in line with the Corps’ statutory responsibilities. Participants deliberated on ways to improve monitoring systems and ensure stricter compliance with operational guidelines.
In his closing remarks, the Commandant reaffirmed his commitment to professionalism, discipline, and accountability within the Command. He charged senior officers to cascade the resolutions reached at the meeting to all units, stressing that collective responsibility remains essential to sustaining peace and security in Kwara State.
