Ooni of Ife Visits Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters for Diplomatic Passport Renewal


His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on Tuesday visited the Headquarters of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in Abuja for the renewal of his Diplomatic Passport.
The revered monarch was warmly received by the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, KN Nandap, alongside members of her Management Team, who accorded the traditional ruler full courtesies befitting his status.
During the visit, the Ooni of Ife commended the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the wide-ranging reforms being implemented across the interior sector under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He also praised the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Comptroller-General of Immigration for their leadership and commitment to transforming the Nigeria Immigration Service, particularly in the areas of migration management, border governance, and service delivery.
The monarch noted that the ongoing reforms have strengthened institutional efficiency and professionalism within the Service, while improving Nigeria’s capacity to manage its borders in line with international best practices.
The visit, which was conducted in a cordial atmosphere, further underscored the appreciation of traditional institutions for government policies aimed at strengthening national security, modernizing public service delivery, and enhancing Nigeria’s global image through effective migration and border management.
