The Delta State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Chinedu Igbo, has conducted the groundbreaking and foundation-laying ceremony for the permanent Cooperative Building of the Command, marking another milestone in his administration’s development agenda.
The ceremony, which took place at the proposed site within the State Headquarters (SHQ), reflects the Commandant’s commitment to strengthening staff welfare and institutional growth. The project is a direct outcome of his sustained support for the cooperative, drawing from his wealth of experience as a pioneer cooperative member at the NSCDC National Headquarters and his role as Patron of the Delta State Command Cooperative.
Speaking at the event, Commandant Igbo said the Cooperative Building would significantly enhance administrative efficiency, improve service delivery, and create greater value for cooperative members and the Command as a whole.
While performing the foundation-laying ceremony, the Commandant dedicated the project to God and to the service of humanity, emphasizing integrity, unity, and collective progress as guiding principles of his leadership.
He further noted that the Cooperative Building is one of several ongoing developmental projects within the Command, adding that the initiatives have brought a general facelift to the Command. He also disclosed that the refurbishment of operational vehicles is currently ongoing to boost operational effectiveness across the state.
