34 Artillery Brigade Strengthens Ties with Operation Delta Safe in Imo State
The Headquarters of 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze in Imo State, hosted the Commander of Operation Delta Safe (OPDS), Rear Admiral OBF Oladipo, on 24 December 2025. The visit aimed at enhancing inter-service cooperation and operational synergy between the military formations.
During the visit, the Commander of 34 Artillery Brigade and Land Component Commander, Operation UDOKA, Major General IM Abbas, briefed Rear Admiral Oladipo on the Brigade’s activities under Operation UDOKA. He emphasized that the Brigade remains committed to protecting lives and property, maintaining peace and security, and supporting civil authorities within its Area of Responsibility.
Major General Abbas also highlighted the proactive measures being implemented to address security challenges and sustain stability. He stressed that collaboration among security agencies is essential for operational success.
In his remarks, Rear Admiral Oladipo commended the Commander and personnel of 34 Artillery Brigade for their professionalism, resilience, and dedication in executing their tasks. He urged the Brigade to maintain and intensify efforts to safeguard critical national assets, particularly oil and gas infrastructure, within the joint operations environment.
Rear Admiral Oladipo further encouraged host communities to continue supporting military operations by cooperating with security agencies and promptly reporting any disputes or grievances between communities and oil and gas companies through appropriate military channels, emphasizing the importance of peace and security.
The visit featured the presentation of souvenirs, the signing of the visitors’ book, and a group photograph.
Among those present were the Chief of Staff of 34 Artillery Brigade, Colonel SM Ahmed; the Commanding Officer of 342 Artillery Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel BB Laah; the Assistant Chiefs of Staff G1 and G4, Lieutenant Colonel M Usman; and other Brigade staff officers.
