Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University ( COOU) Anambra State Alumni Association, Awka Branch Elects New Officials

The Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Anambra State (COOU) Alumni Association Awka branch on Sunday 21st of July, 2024 , elected a new Executive Committee to run its affairs for the next four years.

In an election conducted by the Electoral Committee, Engr. Sir Onyebuchi Onwuteaka emerged as the new Chairman of the association. Other officials elected include, Vice Chairman;
Barr Onyinye-Iheazor Chimezie, Secretary; General Comrade IKC Onuorah, Treasurer; Muogbuo Chineye Rose, Public Relations Officer; Nwosu Felix, and Financial Secretary Nnachor Basil

The election took place at Oasis Awka, during the chapter’s monthly general meeting.

In his post-election speech, Engr. Onwuteaka promised an inclusive administration that would give members a sense of belonging and boost their unity as one family. He pledged to lead a purposeful leadership capable of moving the union forward and to embark on programs that would improve the welfare of members and impact their living standards.

The immediate past chairman of the association Mr. Chibuike Uka, in his congratulatory address, urged the incoming leadership to come up with innovative ideas that would enable the association to grow with ease. He advised them to serve with humility and make sacrifices that would benefit both the University and members at all times.

He prayed God to give them courage and wisdom to discharge their responsibilities successfully. The new executives are expected to resume office immediately and serve for the next four years.
