NSCDC Delta Female Squad Intensifies School Patrols in Asaba

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Delta State Command, has continued its operational activities in line with directives issued by the State Commandant, Commandant Chinedu F. Igbo, aimed at effectively delivering the core mandates of the Corps across the state.

The operation places special emphasis on Safe School Initiative, protection of critical national infrastructure, and ensuring a secure Delta State before, during, and after the forthcoming festive season.

As part of this effort, Female Squad Team 2, one of the three specialized teams established by the Commandant, embarked on a strategic patrol of schools within the state capital, Asaba. The patrol was led by Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC) Abu Sunday.

The team visited several schools, beginning with Ministry of Women Affairs Primary School, followed by Government Model Secondary School, Azagba Secondary School, and Osadenis Secondary School. Management and staff of the schools expressed appreciation for the proactive security presence of the Female Squad.

During the visits, the Team Leader reassured school authorities of the Commandant’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and protection of educational institutions, as well as prompt response to emergencies whenever the need arises.

The patrol team also paid a security visit to the Delta State Government House, Asaba, before returning to base.

Commandant Chinedu F. Igbo, in alignment with the Safe School directive of the National Security Adviser (NSA), as conveyed through the Commandant General of NSCDC, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, has assured residents of Delta State of sustained, intelligence-driven, and robust school patrols. This, he emphasized, will continue until a safe and conducive learning environment is fully guaranteed across the state.
