GENERAL BURATAI URGES BORNO YOUTHS TO EMBRACE LOYALTY, PRODUCTIVITY, TEAMWORK

A former Chief of Army Staff and former Nigerian Ambassador to Benin Republic, His Excelkency, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (rtd), Betara of Biu, has urged Borno State youths to remain loyal to authorities and engage in meaningful activities for a prosperous future. He made these remarks at a novelty football match organized by the TY Buratai Football Academy in Maiduguri.

Praising Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, for his transformative leadership, Buratai highlighted the importance of loyalty, productivity, and teamwork for success. He presented gift items to the competing teams, encouraging them to embrace hard work and discipline. Buratai pledged continued support for sporting clubs and youth development initiatives.

The event, which was  part of the Annual General Meeting of the 29th Regular Course Associstion of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna, saw attendance from course members, sports enthusiasts, and traditional rulers. Commodore MB Tehidi (Retd), Chairman of the 29th Regular Course Association, commended the teams’ performances and urged them to follow strong leadership examples.

Ambassador Buratai’s commitment to youth development and Nigeria’s progress was evident in the sponsorship of various sporting and literary works, inspiring youths to strive for excellence and positive change in their communities.
