Tinubu Meets Former Defence Chief Musa at Aso Villa

Former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, met with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday evening.

Musa was seen arriving at the State House at exactly 7:03 p.m., escorted by a senior security official into the President’s office wing. Wearing a dark-green northern traditional outfit with elbow-length sleeves, the retired defence chief was meeting the President publicly for the first time since his retirement on October 24, 2025.

The purpose of the meeting was not immediately disclosed.

The visit comes at a time of heightened security challenges across the North, including the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi, an attack on worshippers in Eruku, Kwara State, and the kidnapping of Catholic schoolchildren in Minna. Security agencies continue to intensify counter-terrorism and anti-kidnapping operations across the North-West and North-Central regions.
