The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has reaffirmed that Nigeria is fully prepared to confront evolving security challenges across the country.
He made this known during an unscheduled inspection of the FCT Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Federal Fire Service station in Wuse, Abuja.
Speaking during the visit, the Minister said President Bola Tinubu has issued a clear directive to ensure that all agencies under the ministry are strengthened and properly positioned for effective service delivery.
Tunji-Ojo expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction of the NSCDC FCT training ground, noting that continuous training and capacity building remain essential to combating insecurity.
The Minister reiterated the government’s unwavering support for paramilitary agencies and urged their personnel to perform their duties professionally and with respect for the rights of citizens.
He added that similar unannounced assessments would continue nationwide to ensure Nigerians receive only the highest quality of public service.
