Commandant Brah Samson Umoru Hosts Maiden Commandant’s Conference, Emphasizes Dedication, Professionalism, and Adherence to the Rule of Law

The Nasarawa State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Brah Samson Umoru, has convened his maiden Commandant’s Conference with Heads of Departments and Units, Area Commanders, and Divisional Officers at the Command Headquarters in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

In his opening remarks, Commandant Brah expressed profound appreciation to the officers and men of the Command for their steadfast commitment to duty and their contributions to the success of the Corps’ operations across the state. He underscored the importance of dedication, discipline, and professionalism, urging senior officers to lead by example and motivate their subordinates to consistently perform at their best.

The Commandant further charged officers to redouble their efforts in tackling emerging security challenges, safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure, and ensuring the protection of lives and property within their respective jurisdictions.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, Commandant Brah highlighted the need for effective supervision, intelligence sharing, and inter-agency collaboration. He noted that the conference serves as a vital platform for strategic engagement, policy formulation, and performance evaluation across all formations.

He called on departmental heads and field commanders to align with his vision of building a more responsive, proactive, and people-oriented NSCDC in Nasarawa State.

In conclusion, the Commandant reiterated his dedication to staff welfare, capacity building, and the promotion of high moral and ethical standards among personnel. He emphasized that only through professionalism, discipline, and collective commitment can the Corps effectively fulfill its mandate of ensuring public safety and national security.
