The Betneely Charity Foundation (BCF) has inaugurated its Federal Capital Territory (FCT) women coordinators in Abuja as part of efforts to strengthen its humanitarian outreach and expand support for vulnerable women, children, and underserved communities across the territory.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the Founder and Country Coordinator of the foundation, Dr. Mrs. Betty Olutunde, charged the newly appointed coordinators to serve with integrity, compassion, and dedication, stressing that the foundation’s mission remains centered on improving the lives of disadvantaged Nigerians through sustainable humanitarian interventions.

Dr. Olutunde said the inauguration marked another significant milestone in the foundation’s journey of service since its establishment in 2009, noting that the coordinators would play a critical role in identifying the needs of vulnerable groups and implementing programmes that directly impact communities at the grassroots level.

She highlighted the foundation’s achievements over the years, including educational support for indigent children, advocacy for the protection of women’s and children’s rights, community development initiatives, food distribution programmes, healthcare interventions, and economic empowerment projects aimed at reducing poverty and social inequality.

According to her, Betneely Charity Foundation has consistently championed the cause of underprivileged children by supporting access to education, providing learning materials, and promoting child welfare initiatives. She added that the organization has also empowered women through skills acquisition programmes, entrepreneurship support, and advocacy against gender-based discrimination.

The founder further noted that the foundation’s humanitarian activities have earned it international recognition, including its Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), which enables the organization to participate in global discussions and initiatives relating to social development, humanitarian services, and community empowerment.

She urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to uphold the vision and values of the foundation by working closely with communities, government institutions, development partners, and other stakeholders to address pressing social challenges affecting women, children, and vulnerable populations in the FCT.

The event attracted community leaders, civil society representatives, development practitioners, and supporters of the foundation, who commended Dr. Olutunde for her unwavering commitment to humanitarian service. They expressed confidence that the newly inaugurated coordinators would help deepen the foundation’s impact and further advance its mission of promoting social justice, human dignity, and sustainable community development across the FCT.
