Kwara NSCDC Helmsman, Commandant Umar Hosts Acting Controller Of CBN, Ilorin Branch, Reaffirming Commitment To Partnership

In a bid to foster greater collaboration and synergy, The Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security And Civil Defense Corps, Commandant Umar J.G Mohammed, received in audience  the Acting Controller of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Ilorin branch, Mr Aliyu Manga Mohammed today Tuesday, 17 July, 2024.

Commandant Umar expressed the Corps’ readiness to provide support services to the CBN, specifically in safeguarding their facilities recognized as critical national assets, in accordance with the statutory functions of the Corps.

In his response, the Acting Controller of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Ilorin branch, Mr. Aliyu Manga Mohammed, appreciated the Commandant for his warm reception and acknowledged the pivotal role played by the Corps in fulfilling the CBN’s essential mandate, including the apprehension and prosecution of individuals involved in financial crimes.

Additionally, he promised to support the command in the ongoing project by building a functional borehole and upgrading the Command’s clinic to a standard facility.

He emphasized CBN’s determination to eradicate various forms of financial crimes and expressed readiness to collaborate closely with the corps to reduce crimes and criminalities in the state.
