Protect our facilities in Abia from further vandalism – EEDC begs NSCDC

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has appealed to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command to help it in ending the vandalisation of its installations in Abia state.

The electricity distribution company which made the appeal through the its District Manager, Iwuala Festus Chibueze during a courtesy visit to the Abia state Command of EEDC in Umuahia,

While addressing the Abia state Commandant of NSCDC, Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, the EEDC Manager said that the visit was focused on familiarization and exploring ways to collaborate in ending the vandalism of EEDC property in the State.

During the meeting, the Business Manager of EEDC discussed the vandalism that has been occurring in the various electricity distribution stations across the state but expressed the belief that NSCDC has the capability to not only provide solutions to the problem but also , apprehend the criminals perpetrating the acts.

While responding to the visitors, the Commandant , Usman Ishaq Alfadari expressed his appreciation for the visit and reassured EEDC of NSCDC’s commitment to protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure.

He frowned at the vandalism of electrical distribution infrastructures , describing the ugly trend to be a big menace to Nigerian society.

He, however, assured the visitors that officers and men of NSCDC will do their best to protect these infrastructures.
