NSCDC NASARAWA COMMAND STRENGTHENS PARTNERSHIP WITH MINISTRY OF JUSTICE

The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru, today received the newly appointed Director of Public Prosecutions, Ministry of Justice, Nasarawa State, Barrister Justina Allu Alkali, during a courtesy and familiarization visit to the Command Headquarters in Lafia.

The visit focused on deepening collaboration between the NSCDC and the Ministry of Justice, particularly in the areas of criminal prosecution, legal advisory services, and effective justice delivery across the state.

In her remarks, Barrister Justina Allu Alkali expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded her and commended the NSCDC for its professionalism, dedication to internal security, and protection of critical national assets in Nasarawa State. She emphasized the need for a stronger working relationship and assured the Ministry’s continued support in providing the necessary legal backing to aid the Corps in its fight against crime and other societal vices.

In his response, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru congratulated Barrister Alkali on her appointment and acknowledged the invaluable support of the Ministry of Justice in ensuring effective prosecution of offenders. He stressed that cooperation between security agencies and the judiciary is vital to achieving timely and fair justice.

“The NSCDC under my leadership remains committed to upholding the rule of law. Our collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, especially through the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, will ensure that criminal cases are diligently handled and prosecuted to their logical conclusion,” Commandant Brah stated.

The visit ended with mutual assurances of sustained collaboration and a shared commitment to promoting peace, justice, and security throughout Nasarawa State.
