Commandant Bala Bodinga Commissions New NSCDC Outpost at Na’ibawa Eastern Bypass, Kano

The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, has inaugurated a new NSCDC outpost at Na’ibawa Eastern Bypass in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State.

While commissioning the new office, Commandant Bodinga emphasized the importance of community involvement in security matters, noting that maintaining peace and order is a shared responsibility. He called on all stakeholders and residents to continue collaborating with security agencies to ensure a safer environment.

The Commandant expressed appreciation to the Na’ibawa Eastern Bypass Community leadership, led by Arc. Abubakar Ibrahim Diso, for constructing the new office. He encouraged the community to sustain their cooperation and support for the Corps to enhance effective service delivery.

Commandant Bodinga further assured residents of constant surveillance and patrols by the newly established Rapid Response Team in the area, aimed at strengthening the operations of officers deployed to the outpost.

He also cautioned NSCDC personnel to avoid any form of corruption or violation of citizens’ rights, urging them to maintain professionalism and uphold the Corps’ core values in the discharge of their duties.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Na’ibawa Eastern Bypass Community Association, Arc. Abubakar Ibrahim Diso, pledged continued support to the Corps. He disclosed plans to improve the welfare of NSCDC personnel and enhance the daily running of the outpost, adding that the community intends to build an additional structure with at least 15 offices to further support operations.

Arc. Diso noted that before the establishment of the outpost, the community had struggled with cases of thuggery, phone snatching, and other criminal activities. However, since the presence of the NSCDC in the area, the security situation has significantly improved, and property values have risen.

At the end of the event, Commandant Bodinga generously donated two rims of A4 paper and other office materials to support the newly commissioned outpost.
