NSCDC Kano Arrests Four Notorious Vandals, Burglars, Recovers Stolen Items Across Three LGAs

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has arrested four notorious suspected vandals and burglars operating in different parts of the state. The arrest, which followed intensified operations and surveillance, was announced by the State Commandant, Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, during a media briefing held at the Corps Headquarters in Kano on Thursday, 23rd October 2025.

According to Commandant Bodinga, the suspects were apprehended in three different locations — Dambatta, Fagge, and Tarauni Local Government Areas after a series of break-ins and thefts in residential areas. He stated that the suspects had already confessed to the crimes during interrogation, and several stolen items were recovered from them.

The items recovered included mobile phones, a bicycle, standing fans, solar panels, a flat-screen television, bundles of electric wires, burglar-proof windows, MP3 speakers, a small solar panel, a power bank, and vehicle tyres. All the exhibits were found in the possession of the suspects at the time of their arrest.

Commandant Bodinga noted that the cases have been thoroughly investigated and that the suspects will soon be charged to court for prosecution. He reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment under his leadership to the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, as well as the safety of lives and property across Kano State.

The Commandant further appealed to residents to remain vigilant and support the NSCDC and other security agencies by reporting suspicious movements or activities of criminal elements in their communities. He commended the public for their continued cooperation and assured that the Corps will not relent in its efforts to ensure peace and security in the state.
