The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru, has paid a familiarisation visit to the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nasarawa State Command, Corps Commander Yahaya Sabo Adikwu, as part of his ongoing strategic engagements with security and safety agencies across the state.
During the visit, Commandant Brah emphasised the importance of inter-agency collaboration, stronger operational synergy, and effective intelligence sharing in addressing security and safety challenges within Nasarawa State. He noted that the safety of lives and property on highways and within communities can only be achieved through mutual trust, cooperation, and coordinated efforts among all security stakeholders.
According to him, “The NSCDC under my leadership is committed to strengthening partnerships built on trust, information sharing, and operational support. Together with the FRSC and other sister agencies, we can create a safer environment for citizens and protect critical national assets and infrastructure,” he stated.
In his remarks, the FRSC Sector Commander, Corps Commander Yahaya Sabo Adikwu, commended Commandant Brah for the visit, describing it as a welcome development that would further strengthen the long-standing cooperation between both agencies. He assured of the FRSC’s continued collaboration with the NSCDC in joint operations, traffic management during emergencies, and public enlightenment programmes.
The meeting also featured discussions on key areas of partnership such as emergency response coordination, road safety sensitisation, and intelligence-led patrols, all aimed at improving public safety and security across the state.
Since assuming office, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru has embarked on a series of familiarisation and operational visits designed to promote unity of purpose among security stakeholders and reposition the NSCDC Nasarawa State Command for greater effectiveness and service delivery.
