The Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State have renewed their commitment to strengthen inter-agency collaboration aimed at improving security and maintaining public order across the state.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police.
According to the statement, the renewed partnership followed a courtesy visit by the NSCDC State Commandant, Bala Bawa Budinga, to the Kano State Police Command Headquarters. The visit was in line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, promoting all-inclusive and cooperative policing.
Commandant Budinga praised the existing cordial relationship between the two agencies and expressed readiness to deepen the partnership. He stated that his visit was to seek stronger cooperation and appreciate the support extended to the NSCDC since he assumed duty.
In response, the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, reaffirmed the command’s dedication to intelligence sharing and inter-agency collaboration, noting that sustained synergy among security agencies remains vital for peace and stability in Kano State.
The statement also revealed that the Commandant of Police Secondary School, Shanono, CSP Hussaini Hashim, led staff and students on a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police to express appreciation for the command’s continued support to the institution.
