The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has once again reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI). This reemphasis took center stage at the 2025 National Security Conference and Awards organized by the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island.
The Commandant General of the NSCDC, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, OFR, was ably represented at the event by the Lagos State Commandant, Mr. Keshinro Adedotun.
Speaking during the panel session themed “Securing and Safeguarding Nigeria’s Economic Resources: A Call to Serve,” Commandant Adedotun commended NAOSNP for consistently providing a platform that shapes security discourse and fosters collaboration among key stakeholders in the nation’s security architecture. He highlighted the Corps’ ongoing efforts in tackling emerging threats, curbing vandalism, and ensuring the protection of vital installations critical to national development.
He further urged Nigerians to support the NSCDC in the collective and selfless campaign against the vandalism of national assets and economic resources, emphasizing that government continues to intensify efforts toward fighting corruption and diversifying the economy.
In recognition of his exemplary leadership and strategic all-of-the-people approach to the protection of national assets, conflict resolution, and the safeguarding of Nigeria’s economic resources, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi was honoured with the NAOSNP 2025 Award of Excellence.
