NSCDC Kano Commandant Presents Letter of Credence to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf After Independence Day Parade

The Kano State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, has officially presented his letter of credence to the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, at the Government House, Kano.

Presenting his letter of assumption of duty, Commandant Bodinga reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the people of Kano by prioritizing the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, while also mapping out strategies to enhance the security of lives and property across the state.

“Your Excellency, the day I assumed leadership of the NSCDC in Kano, I directed my officers and men to embark on 24-hour patrols and surveillance across the state. This effort is already yielding results, as seen in the recent arrests of vandals. I have also instructed all Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to ensure watertight security in mosques and churches during Juma’at prayers and Sunday services,” Commandant Bodinga stated.

He further assured the Governor of his loyalty, support, and unwavering dedication to ensuring the safety and security of Kano State.

In his response, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf commended the Commandant for his proactive efforts and pledged the state government’s continuous support to the NSCDC. The Governor also presented souvenirs to Commandant Bodinga in appreciation of his commitment to improving security.

Earlier in the day, before the Government House visit, Commandant Bodinga attended the 65th Independence Day Parade held at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano.

The colorful parade was reviewed by Governor Yusuf and witnessed by members of his cabinet, security chiefs, and other dignitaries in the state.
