DELTA LG POLLS: NSCDC DEPLOYS 1,700 PERSONNEL TO ENHANCE SECURITY, PROTECTION OF CRITICAL NATIONAL ASSETS DURING POLLS

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Delta State Command has deployed 1700 personnel across the state for the upcoming local government elections to provide security

The State Command’s helmsman Commandant Suleiman Agboola Jimoh in his address stated that the Corps in Delta State in collaboration with other security agencies is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the security of lives and properties of Deltans before, during and after the general elections.

He notified the public that all flashpoints within the state have been identified and adequately covered while also assuring them of the readiness of the Corps to protect all Critical National Assets and Infrastructure within the state before, during and after the general elections.

The personnel which were drawn from the Armed Squad Unit, Agro Rangers, Crisis and Disaster Management, Tactical teams, Component commands are to work in synergy with other security agencies to achieve a peaceful, free, fair and credible General Elections.

While assuring all stakeholders such as the DSIEC, NYSC and Accredited Observers of their safety, he encouraged Deltans to go about exercising their franchise without fear or intimidation.
