In preparation for the forthcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Umar J.G Mohammed has ordered the deployment of over 3000 personnel to beef up security during and after the sallah celebration.

Commandant Umar noted that the deployment will span across the 16 Local Government Areas of the state, with special attention given to high-risk areas such as black spots, flashpoints, vulnerable locations, and places with frequent criminal activities.

He also instructed Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders  and Divisional Officers, to conduct continuous patrols and ensure extensive deployment to guarantee a smooth and safe celebration.

Commandant Umar issued a stern warning to miscreants, vandals, and other potential troublemakers planning to disrupt the peace and order during the festive period, advising them to desist from such actions. He stressed that the command is fully prepared and equipped to enforce the law, ensuring that offenders face the full consequences of their actions.

While congratulating Muslim faithful in the state on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, he urged them to support the NSCDC and other security agencies by reporting any suspicious individuals or activities that could threaten the peace and stability of the state.
