NSCDC Gombe Commandant Jibrin Idris Embarks on Operational Tour of Nafada, Funakaye, and Kwami LGAs

The Gombe State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Jibrin Idris, has undertaken an operational tour of NSCDC Divisional Offices across the state, beginning with Nafada, Funakaye, and Kwami Local Government Areas.

On arrival, he was warmly received by the Chairmen of the respective LGAs: Hon. Babangida Adamu Jigawa (Nafada), Hon. Shuibu Abdulrahman Adamu (Funakaye), and Hon. Dr. Ahmed Wali Doho (Kwami). Also present were the Area Commander Gombe North, ACC Moses Vue, Divisional Officers, and heads of sister security agencies.

The Chairmen commended the Corps for its collaborative efforts in ensuring safety and security, noting that synergy with other security agencies had contributed to a marked decline in criminal activities. Commandant Idris, in turn, praised the local leaders for their proactive measures in curbing crime and expressed gratitude for the support extended to the Corps.

He reminded stakeholders that one of the core mandates of the NSCDC is the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI). He called for strengthened cooperation, particularly in the area of actionable intelligence, to safeguard these assets against vandalism and sabotage.

As part of the tour, Commandant Idris paid courtesy visits to the Emir of Nafada, HRH Muhammadu Dadum Hamza, and the Emir of Funakaye, HRH Muhammed Yakubu Kwairanga, where he received royal blessings.

Addressing officers and men of the Divisions, he commended their dedication to duty and urged them to uphold professionalism, discipline, and commitment in the discharge of their responsibilities.
