NACOLM Commandant and NAFDAC Director Pay Courtesy Visits to GOC 81 Division

The Commandant of the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Major General A.C. Adetoba, has paid a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Major General Farouk Mijinyawa, at the Division Headquarters, Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island, Lagos, on 23 September 2025. The visit formed part of his familiarization tour of units and formations under the Division’s Area of Responsibility (AOR).

Major General Adetoba noted that his visit aimed to strengthen collaboration and consolidate the existing relationship between the College and the Division. He emphasized the need to sustain ongoing partnerships that have contributed significantly to NACOLM’s successes.

In his remarks, Major General Mijinyawa welcomed the Commandant and congratulated him on his appointment. He assured him of the Division’s continuous support, particularly in training activities and exercises that would enhance the College’s mandate.

In a related development, the Director of Investigation and Enforcement at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Mr. Martins Iluyomade, fsi, also visited the GOC alongside his management team. Mr. Iluyomade, who doubles as the Chairman of the Federal Task Force on Fake Drugs and Unwholesome Processed Foods, sought military support to bolster NAFDAC’s operations. He explained that collaboration with the Army would further strengthen the agency’s capacity to combat counterfeit drugs and safeguard public health.

Responding, Major General Mijinyawa pledged the Division’s support and underlined the importance of inter-agency cooperation in advancing national security. He reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to partnerships that promote food and drug safety, while enhancing a more secure and effective national framework.

The visit ended with a shared commitment to deepen collaboration in the pursuit of common goals.
