The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command, has officially welcomed its newly deployed State Commandant, Muhammad Kabiru Ingawa, who assumes office as the 16th substantive Commandant of the Command.
A native of Ingawa, Katsina State, Commandant Ingawa is a highly experienced officer with a distinguished record of service across several state commands, including Katsina, Jigawa, Delta, Kaduna, and Nasarawa. His familiarity with Jigawa’s security landscape is noteworthy, as he previously held various strategic roles in the state before his redeployment to Kaduna. Until his recent posting, he served as the State Commandant of Nasarawa State.
Commandant Ingawa holds a degree in Business Administration from Bayero University, Kano, and is an Associate of the Corporate Institute of Administration. His career has been further enriched by participation in numerous seminars and workshops within and outside Nigeria, equipping him with valuable expertise in administration, leadership, and security management.
He commenced his professional journey at the Correctional Service Training School, Owerri, Imo State, and advanced his training at the Nigerian Correctional Staff College, Kaduna. Over the years, he has received several commendations for his outstanding service, including the Best Functional Staff Award at the Jigawa State Command in 2013.
A devoted family man, Commandant Ingawa is happily married and blessed with seven children. His redeployment to Jigawa is expected to further strengthen the Command’s operational capacity in safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure, enhancing crisis management, and ensuring effective internal security.
The Command expressed confidence that his wealth of experience, professionalism, and leadership qualities will greatly contribute to the continued growth of NSCDC in Jigawa State and bolster collective efforts toward peace and security across the state.
