Depot Nigerian Army Osogbo Honours Eight Newly Promoted Majors

The Depot Nigerian Army Osogbo has honored eight of its officers who were recently promoted to the rank of Major in the Nigerian Army. The investiture ceremony took place on 12 September 2025 at the prestigious Black Panther Officers’ Mess in Osun State.

The event, marked by military tradition and ceremonial grandeur, was attended by senior military officials, dignitaries, and proud family members. It celebrated a key milestone in the careers of the newly promoted officers, who have consistently demonstrated excellence, professionalism, and dedication to service.

In his remarks, the Commandant of Depot Nigerian Army Osogbo, Brigadier General Buhari Madaki, congratulated the officers on their well-earned promotions. He described the advancement as a reflection of their unwavering commitment, hard work, and discipline—qualities that embody the core values of the Nigerian Army.

“Promotion in the Nigerian Army is both a recognition of outstanding service and a call to greater responsibility,” he said, encouraging the officers to continue setting an example for others.

The entire instructors, staff, and recruits of Depot Nigerian Army Osogbo joined in the celebration, extending their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for continued success in the officers’ military careers.
