The Patriotic Guild of Security Writers (PGSW) has congratulated Controller General Olumode Samuel Adeyemi on his appointment as the new head of the Federal Fire Service, describing it as a recognition of merit, professionalism, and years of dedicated service.

In a statement signed by its National President, Isiaka Mustapha, the Guild said Adeyemi’s appointment comes at a crucial moment when Nigeria is in dire need of strong leadership in emergency management and disaster response.

The Guild expressed confidence that Adeyemi’s decades of experience, discipline, and deep knowledge of modern fire and safety operations will help reposition the Service into a more efficient and globally respected institution.

“His career has been marked by diligence, capacity, and integrity. These are rare qualities that Nigerians now look to him to bring to bear in his new office,” the Guild noted.

The group also urged Adeyemi to justify the trust placed in him by delivering innovation, transparency, and accountability in service delivery.

While congratulating the new Fire Chief, the Guild commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritising competence and professionalism above politics in the appointment.

According to the Guild, the President’s decision demonstrates his administration’s commitment to strengthening national institutions and ensuring effective security and safety services.

PGSW further assured Adeyemi of its support in promoting public safety awareness and constructive engagement with Nigerians, stressing that he cannot afford to disappoint the nation’s high expectations.
