The honour was formally bestowed in Abuja by Professor Eze C. Nwauba, the institution’s representative in Africa, alongside officials of the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management (CIISM).

This was contained in a statement released by the FCT Command Public Relations Officer, DSC Monica Ojobi.

According to the organisers, Dr. Odumosu emerged as the unanimous choice of the CIISM advisory board and the university’s award selection committee, who recognised his exceptional contributions to public service and national security.

The conferment was held during a capacity-building workshop, induction, and dinner at the Army Resource Centre, Asokoro, where other notable professionals were also honoured.

Dr. Odumosu received accolades for his sterling leadership, humanitarian interventions, and steadfast dedication to justice, accountability, and peace.

In addition to the honorary doctorate, he was formally inducted as a Fellow of CIISM, a professional body committed to advancing strategic knowledge and celebrating outstanding individuals across various sectors.

Responding to the recognition, Odumosu described the award as a humbling milestone, dedicating it to his colleagues, mentors, and all those who have supported his professional journey.

“This recognition is not mine alone. It belongs to everyone who has walked with me in the pursuit of a safer and more just society. It challenges me to redouble my efforts,” he said.

He further pledged to remain committed to promoting peace and security in Nigeria, while serving with renewed vigour wherever national duty demands.
