The Zonal Commander, Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, of the Nigeria Police Force ( NPF ), Assistant Inspector – General of Police, AIG Fayoade Adegoke, mni, psc has lauded, commended, applauded and recognized, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command for its active participation and immense contribution towards the overwhelming success recorded, by the first joint security roadwalk and campaign against all forms of criminal activities such as; cultism, sexual molestation, rape, drug abuse, armed robbery, child abuse and others in the country, organized, by the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices ( POCACOV ).
The Zonal Commander while addressing the campaign train at his office, in Onikan, Lagos, seized the opportunity to appreciate the efforts of the Corps and other security agencies, unions, parents, youths and other groups present at the joint security roadwalk, organized, by POCACOV and championed, by its Southwest Zonal Chairman, Ambassador Eniola Samuel and his team on Thursday, 31st July, 2025.
He further affirmed that with the spirit of togetherness amongst all security agencies in the country crimes and criminalities will be greatly reduced, to its bearest in the shortest time possible.
The Lagos State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Keshinro Adedotun has in turn appreciated, the movement for its vision to further deepen cohesion, togetherness, synergy and good working relationship, which the Corps is largely, poised, to in the pursuit of its mandate in the state.
The Southwest Zonal Chairman of POCACOV also mentioned that the public campaign, amongst other things was necessary, to have all security agencies and unions come together and speak in one voice against cultism, drug abuse, rape and other crimes being perpetrated, in the country and as such; seize the opportunity to sound serious warning to unrepentant persons to desist from committing those crimes.
The NSCDC Lagos State Command was ably represented, at the event by Deputy Commandant of Corps Folahanmi Sunday, Head of Training Department, with other personnel who were physically active to ensure adequate compliance to rules and regulations during the campaign exercise on various routes covering Ikeja to Oshodi, Mushin and Onikan, Lagos.
