THE COMMANDER 4 SPECIAL FORCES COMMAND FLAGS OFF WELFARE BUSSES FOR PERSONNEL

The Commander 4 Special Forces Command, Major General Hilary Nzan, today Tuesday, July 29, 2025 has flagged off welfare buses for the personnel and their families at the Nigerian Army Cantonment Doma, Nasarawa State.

In his remarks, Major General Nzan emphasized that one of the key qualities of good leadership is prioritizing the welfare of subordinates. He explained that the gesture aims to ease the mobility of personnel and their immediate families within the cantonment, free of charge, to further boost troop morale.

The Commander directed that the buses should operate on a daily basis and advised soldiers and families to assemble at designated points to enjoy the free service. He also urged the drivers to adopt a maintenance culture by taking good care of the vehicles, ensuring they serve their intended purpose.

Earlier, in his opening remarks, the Chief of Staff 4 Special Forces Command, Brigadier General Muritala Abu, thanked the Commander for his remarkable leadership in prioritizing troop welfare. He noted that this initiative would reduce the difficulties encountered in transportation, especially during rainy periods, and cautioned personnel not to abuse the privilege.

In his vote of thanks, the Acting Commander of 79 Supply and Transport Brigade, Colonel Boniface Edibo, expressed his profound gratitude to the Commander of 4 Special Forces Command for the generous gesture of procuring command shuttle buses as welfare services for troops and their families. He promised to maintain the vehicles to the best of his ability.

The event was attended by affiliated commanders, Regimental Sergeant Majors, soldiers, and families.
