COMDT ELUWADE ELUYEMI BOWS OUT OF SERVICE IN STYLE; LEAVES BEHIND REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENT AND DISTINCTIVE LEGACIES

Today, the 22nd day of July 2025, an iconic officer; an astute administrator, and a core professional bows out of service after over 2 decades of distinctive service to his fatherland.

The delectable, combatant Commandant of Corps ELUWADE ELUYEMI clocks 60 and officially retires from public service. His service is replete with accomplishments that stands him out as one of the finest to serve the country through the NSCDC.

Comdt Eluwade Eluyemi is an Engineer by training and practice. He bagged HND in Mechanical Engineering (Production Option) from the prestigious Yaba College of Technology in 1991. That was followed with a B.sc in Business Administration from Achievers University, Ondo State. He holds an MBA and a Masters in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ladoke Akintola University of Science and Technology, Ogbomosho Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria respectively.

Before joining the services of NSCDC as a pioneer staff in 2004, he practiced as an engineer in the private sector where he was a production manager in a large manufacturing company in Ibadan, Oyo State. His love for regimentation propelled him to join the services of NSCDC where he served in many commands and various capacities till his promotion to the rank of Commandant of Corps in 2022.

The crescendo of his service was between June 2023 and September 2024 when he served as the 15th State Commandant of NSCDC Akwa Ibom State Command.

His operational achievements in NSCDC core mandates as well as his contribution to the infrastructural development of the Akwa Ibom State Command stands him out as an epitome of impactful leadership.

Below are highlights of his 15 months service in Akwa Ibom State:

  2. Conducted the first Medical Outreach by NSCDC Akwa Ibom State Command for 130 persons in Uyo. See link https://youtu.be/CazWCkY0QNM?si=U7OjeckL00mgmN-O
  3. Conducted Ground breaking ceremony for NSCDC permanent site after many years.
  4. Fought illegal mining in Akwa Ibom to a standstill which led to many illegal miners obtaining mining license.
  5. Implemented structured asset protection security strategy for Sterling Petroleum and Fertilizer Limited that reduced theft, sabotage and vandalism significantly and earned commendation.
  6. Secured several convictions against illegal bunkerers of petroleum products, pipeline vandals and forfeiture to the Federal Government.
  7. Held State Commandant Quarterly Briefing in the 3 senatorial districts headquarters of Uyo, Eket and Ikot Ekpene where previous quarter performances were reviewed and participants brainstorm on the current security challenges and proffer actionable solutions.
  8. Engaged community leaders, youth leaders, village heads, and community based associations in Town Hall meetings to foster synergy, intelligence sharing and collaboration in fighting crimes, protecting critical infrastructures and apprehending offenders. This yielded magical results.
  9. Constructed a standard Quarter Guard Court for Akwa Ibom State Command
  10. Created a befitting Conference room for the command.
  11. Conducted quarterly training and manpower development workshop to upscale the capacities of personnel of the command
    Amongst many other numerous operational successes recorded in Anti-vandalism and illegal mining war.
