KATSINA COMMANDANT RECEIVES CG AUDI FOR CONDOLENCE VISIT IN KATSINA

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Katsina State Command, Commandant of Corps Aminu Datti Ahmad, received the Commandant General of NSCDC Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni, OFR today Sunday 20th July, 2025 in Katsina.

Commandant Ahmad along with Commandant NSCDC College for Peace and Disaster Management (CPCDM) Assistant Commandant General Babangida Abdullahi Dutsanma, Kano Commandant CC AD Shafi’u and Jigawa State Commandant CC BB Bodinga earlier welcome the CG Audi at Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano State.

The Commandant General who was on a condolence visit over the passing of late former President Muhammadu Buhari proceeded to Daura with the entourage.The visit started at the residence of Manman Daura, a brother to the late former President where the CG revealed that late Baba Buhari lived a life of service and sacrifice.He prayed may Allah reward him with Jannatul firdaus.

The Corps Helmsman later visited the residence of late former President and condoled the family.He was so emotional and expressed deep grief over the passing of Muhammadu Buhari. The team also visited the palace of his Royal Highness the Emir of Daura Alh. (Dr.) Faruk Umar Faruk.Condolence message and prayers were offered may the Almighty Allah grant him jannatul firdaus.

At Katsina, Governor Radda received the CG’s team at the Government House, where Professor Audi conveyed his deepest condolences to the government and people of Katsina State.

Speaking on behalf of the NSCDC leadership, Audi described the late President as “a statesman of unmatched dignity and unwavering patriotism, whose legacy will continue to shape Nigeria’s moral and institutional journey.”

“President Muhammadu Buhari was not just a national figure; he was a guardian of discipline and values we hold dear in our corps integrity, accountability, and loyalty to country.

We are here to stand in solidarity with the people of Katsina State and to honour a man who lived for service and sacrifice” the Commandant General said.

In his remarks, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda expressed sincere gratitude to the NSCDC Commandant General and his entourage for the visit, describing it as “heartwarming and a symbol of true national unity.”

“President Muhammadu Buhari was our father, our moral compass, and our strongest voice for order and accountability. His death is a national wound, but your presence here today is a balm,” the Governor said.

Governor Radda appreciated the commitment of the NSCDC to national peace and community safety.He concluded by praying for CG Audi and his team, and urged the NSCDC to remain steadfast in their duties. “Continue to uphold the values Baba Buhari cherished discipline, humility, and service to Nigeria,” he said.

The visit was concluded at the palace of His Royal Highness the Emir of Katsina Alh.(Dr.) Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, where the Emir was condoled and prayers were observed.
