NSCDC Arrests 7 Suspected Vandals, 2 Suspected Thieves in Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has apprehended seven suspected vandals at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport for the theft and vandalism of ten (10) metal manhole covers belonging to the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

The arrest was carried out by NSCDC operatives stationed at the airport, who immediately transferred the suspects to the Anti-Vandalism Unit. Following a thorough investigation, additional suspects were identified and arrested.

Those arrested include: Abubakar Umar (20 years), Sadiq Jafar (23 years), Iliya Nasir (20 years),Abba Muhammad (18 years) and Al-Ameen Idris (18 years).

In connection with the case, two individuals alleged to be receivers of stolen property were also arrested: Shamsu Ibrahim Usman (35 years) of Daiba, Rijiyar Lemo and Yusuf Abdulmumini (25 years) of Kurna Babban Layi

Items recovered during the investigation include the ten (10) stolen manhole covers and one (1) Mercedes Benz vehicle suspected to have been used in the operation.
